Workstation/Work Area Architecture and Panel Orientation Considerations

Captions:

Visual reference frame relative to a panel with oriented alpha numerics or graphics is important.

Effective design must consider the head attitude or eye plane relationship.

It is difficult to work in a visually inverted attitude relative the workstation architecture.

This panel design is excellent but panels nearby are oriented differently and are hard to interpret from the work position.

It is difficult to read alpha numerics and graphics displays from an oblique angle. Integrated workstation and work area layouts demand care in design.

This well-designed workstation in SpaceLab shows well-organized equipment and good provisions for retention for an experiment.
